Not quite - I offered a third option :-) As was explained in the Welcome letter

you received

on joining, we prefer you do daily, digest or, if you don't want the group

messages coming

into your mail box Special Notices - that last rather than no mail or what

now calls

Web Only. That is so that we could contact all 900-plus members in a hurry if

there was an

emergency of any kind or a very very important announcement. I have sent out

about three

such Special Notices in my 'career' as an group owner, so there's no danger of

anyone

being overwhelmed with Special Notices mail. And you can still access the web

just as you

can for No Mail / Web Only. Pretty reasonable request, I think :-)

Can't answer for other owner/moderators. But I have belonged to groups which

actually

require members to receive messages rather than simply access the webpage.

That's up to

the owner/moderator to decide :-)

We too have a cat - and two dogs - in an apartment (which is, I admit, quite

large enough

for us all - we're lucky!).

Yes, you will find lots of vegans here too :-) Recipes which I post tend to be

vegan

(although could be adapted for lacto). You are not alone! And congratulations on

making

the switch for the animals!

 

Now that you've found us I do hope you start posting - it's so nice to get new

members,

but it's sad if they're shy and run away to hide after the initial intro :-(

Just jump in and

chat, okay??? We're all friends here - just a bit slow at this time of year, but

you can

change that, as can all members especially new ones.
