Guest guest Posted July 4, 2006 Report Share Posted July 4, 2006 This is my family favorite recipe Macaroni Au Gratin 7 ounce package macaroni 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 2 cups milk 8 ounces cheddar cheese -- cubed 1 tablespoon chopped onion 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce (veg version) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard 2 tablespoons seasoned bread crumbs Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Place in a greased 2 quart baking dish; set aside. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until well blended. Gradually add milk; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes; reduce heat. Add cheese, onion, worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and mustard; stir until cheese melts. Pour over macaroni and mix well. Sprinkle with bread crumbs.
