Guest guest
A member has kindly reminded me, by way of a fowarded message, of an unscrupulous practice with some people: Email Harvesting or Farming. If you post on a group, such as Vegetarian Spice, and someone here 'steals' your addy from your message and forwards it to the owner of another group so that she may invite you to her own group, then that is Harvesting or Farming. It is complicated by the fact that the member 'harvested' might think that the owner of the original group, say Vegetarian Spice, is also affiliated with the other group and is therefore responsible for the invitation. Not so. So that there is no confusion, my own , that I own or co-own, have been listed in the Links section for some time now - the the folder for Members Email Groups is where you'll find mine and others'. To save you trouble, these are the ones, apart from this group, which are to do with vegetarianism: Vegetarian Slimming (vegetarianslimming/) Vegetarians in Canada (vegetariansincanada/) I have a couple of others - one for dogs in town and a genealogy group, but they needn't concern you, I suspect I founded and co-owned two more veggie groups - diabeticvegchat and athleticveg - but some time ago I turned the ownership over to others. Soooooo, no I am not responsible for whoever is doing the harvesting and we are currently looking into the situation. Thanks for reading. Much appreciated. Now on to getting a life, eh? LOL Hope everyone is having a great summer - we have some great new members who have migrated here (well, commuting is probably the more correct term) from one of my other groups. Lovely to meet and re-meet everyone! Best love, Pat (Owner, Vegetarian Spice)
