Guest guest
Greetings and salutations! (Waving frantically) Hi, how are you this fine day? 1. What is your name or nickname on this list? My name is Mary, you've probably noticed by my addy - marybakes, that's me. 2. Which part of the world do you like to call home? I hail originally from Pennsylvania but have been in North Carolina for the past 5 wonderful years. 3. Are you vegetarian (or vegan), still making the transition or thinking about it? In the process of making the transition because my partner wishes us to both have a healthier lifestyle, 4. How did you find our group? I did a search on Groups and found your fascinating list --- Okay - NOW to the important stuff: 5. Dogs or cats? I would so like to have a dog, but I am owned by three marvelous cats, Taj Mahal, Lightning Bug and Macnamara 6. Coffee or tea? Pass the Earl Grey, please, two Splenda packets and a dash of low fat non-dairy creamer 7. Homebody or travel fiend? Who can afford to travel with gas prices as they are? 8. Astrological Sign? Libra, balanced, as always. LOL! 9. Chinese Zodiak Sign/Animal? hmmm, I believe I'm a Dog, which is probably why I would like to have one some day. 10. Favourite colour? Rainbow 11. Pet Peeve? The list is way too long, don't let me get on the soap box this early, I wanted to try to make a good impression at first! 12. Anything else you would like to tell us? Sometimes I can be very talkative. Sometimes not. Deal with it. (Big grin) I manage a convenience store which is stressful but mostly fun for me. I enjoy all types of cooking and I would desperately appreciate it if someone could tell me a good way to eat broccol. I just can't do the *tree* thing, cooked or raw. Beans are my new friend now that beef has been eliminated from my world. We went to Golden Corral buffet tonight and I didn't even look twice at the steaks and burgers. I admit, I looked at some of the other meat available, but wasn't even tempted, so I think I'm making great progress in the transition so far. Come on, it's only been two weeks here. My partner was a vegetarian before for several years, I don't know why she dropped out of the practice, but she's whole heartedly dropping us both back in now. I'm swimming with the tide and looking for new ways to spice up my food with good taste Am I still here or kicked off the list now? Thanks for listening.
