Guest guest
One thing I might mention: these days many Indians are choosing not to eat as much butter ghee as before, some avoiding it altogether, for health reasons. I tended to follow that trend for some years, even before I gave dairy up altogether. Now many Indian restaurants (I am here picking up an earlier comment about Indian food) still use ghee rather than vegetable oil, and that does indeed make it taste different. (Some would say 'better' :=) ) Something to consider: One Indian restaurant we go to has, frankly, mediocre-to-good food which is also underspiced. (OK, around 6 on a scale of 1 to 10, you know? Good enough to enjoy it and to return, not good enough to rave about it.) It is, however, delightful in that they use organic produce when available (and it's almost always available), and only use vegetable oil for cooking. Good healthy food. This might be something to watch for when finding a restaurant. While this restaurant is not vegetarian, they have a good selection of vegetarian selections which are, barring the naan bread (about which they warned us), also totally vegan. What a kindness to the community here! These aspects of the restaurant - the concern for health PLUS the concern for customers who avoid animal flesh and animal product - make it a winner for me, despite how it 'rates' on my personal gastronomic scale! Not easy finding really *good* veggie food sometimes! Love, Pat

Guest guest
Hi Manish, Question; I have some very old Paneer in my fridge, I'd just never gotten around to using (been busy)and am wondering if it can still be use for anything, even a aged cheese? My Ghee in above the stove in the cabinate, is this an okay place? Guest guest
Hi Audrey, You can check paneer, if there is fungus or bad odour you can throw it. Ghee remains same it never changes for many years. Though I do not use any of these item being Vegan. Guest guest
Hi Heena, Thanks for tips for Paneer. I do not use it instead I use Tofu ( Soya paneer) I love it very much, It has same texture as paneer but more nutritious than paneer.
