That would be nice, Linda :=) and it's a kind thought - but Indian food (and

some others,

of course) does depend on the mix and proportion of spices and without *your*

measurements it won't be the same as yours, and therefore it won't be a

'tried-and-true'

recipe. It's a strict rule here - and although I know that other groups don't

insist, we do

because, well, because we want to make sure that the recipes work each time

*exactly* as

the recipe says. And those members who haven't made that particular recipes

before won't

know how it is supposed to taste unless we give them the measurements exactly -

with a

little give and take, of course, with regard to the chillies! LOL

You know, I am a cook much like you, but since I started offering recipes to

others I write

my measurements down - including every little bit extra I put in to make it

taste right - on

a scratch pad I keep on my kitchen counter. I might not make it that way every

single time

myself, but I do know for sure that the version I offer here is workable as

given as well as

tasty.

Do you mix your own spices too? Or do you tend towards the packaged pre-mixed

option?

Best love, Pat
