Great looking/sounding recipes indeed - and of course Thanksgiving recipes are

not

traditionally spicy, and that's fine fine fine! :)

Thanks for this link - it's a keeper - and I want to make that squash pie!

If anyone tries any of these - or similar - please let us know, along with any

variations you

made on the recipe (one always does change things a bit!) so that we can add

them in, eh?

Oh I really MUST celebrate American Thanksgiving (we had ours last month) if

only for the

foooooood!

There's a great editorial in the newest Vegetarian Times about celebrating

Thanksgiving with a friend from England and how much they loved the fact that

we celebrated a day of the year just to do nothing other than eat together (I

know, there's Native Americans and their exploiters involved, but this is

just from a food viewpoint).

We have three Tofurky roasts and we're going to try most all the recipes

from the Gentle Thanksgiving site. I think I'll put pictures on my blog when

it's all said and done..

Namaste!

This is our 2nd meatless holiday season as a family of 3 vegetarians and 1

rebellious 11 year old carnivorous - a vegetarian hold out.

We had the blandest version of boxed vegetarian stuffing last year at a

gathering.

I want to try something exotic

like the Caribbean Style Banana Stuffing recipe here.

;num=1145802055

Unfortunately, they don't separate the recipes, by types like vegan or

vegetarian on this site. They have a few good transtioning recipes.

I've also tried this cook's sweet potato French fries, the meatloaf recipe

[meatless] the vegetarian sub/hoagie recipe from this board [outstanding] -

Even my youngest daughter [the meateater] She isn't a totally vegetarian yet,

but she loved the hoagies & fries.

I'd been thinking I'd make a seitan/gluten 'turkey' roast - although perhaps not

stuffed. I'll

see :) I'll look for more recipes BUT if there's anyone who has Thanksgiving

recipes

(vegetarian or vegan, please - I know many of you are not veggie but this is a

veggie

group! :)) to share with us, ones which they have tried, please oh please let's

see them!

Also, remember to save any you make for the first time for Thanksgiving *nods

wisely*

because they will come in handy later in the year and also for next year! So

save em and

post em afterwards so you can tell us all how gooooooood they arae! Yum!

Have you seen the 'make your own 'meatloaf' on vegan lunchbox's blog?
