Guest guest
Below are responses to separate messages from some members. I have responded to some messages already, and want to thank all of you who have written in so far in answer to my Roll Call and of course to those who have voted in the two polls - do the best you can with those poll answers cuz I know that I could / should have made them clearer and added more options Here are some replies from yrs truly: IslandJim: Another Jaffrey fan! Her recipes may be adapted to the western palate, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, eh? Delish! sansunick2004: How about some recipes from the Philippines! thirtyminutevegan: great website. Thanks a bunch elixirsol: greetings to you too and sooo glad you're to have a kitchen again. I understand it really helps with cooking *wink* - although it's amazing what one can do with an electric wok or a simple hotplate! Love the 'trivia' - don't deprive us, please truepatriot: Got it. Hot and spicy. SPICY. Yes. Definitely we are soulmates!!! LOL elmothree2000: welcome back from wherever you'd disappeared to Always good to see old friends! piers_clement: That's okay - you're not the only non-veggie here Labels are restrictive,I agree, since few of us are only what we eat or only what we omit eating. But definitions help on this kind of group, I find, which is primarily for help and support of veggies and wannabees.<nodding ever so wisely like a dashboard pup> cindi93069: Greetings, friend! Mexican and Thai? We'd love some recipes, please! NOTE: Piers and Cindi are co-owners of Vegetarian Slimming, where I was an owner with Piers until a little while ago I was somewhat overextended, so reluctantly stepped down from that group, which may be of interest to some members here. It is a low-fat vegetarian group especially created nearly four yrs ago especially for vegetarians and vegans who have found that they have gained weight and would like to lose that weight. It was the first such group on , believe it or not, and has had a loyal following. Needless to say, with more interest in health as well as in vegetarianism lately, many non- vegetarians have found the group both useful and interesting as well as a lot of fun. You may find it here: vegetarianslimming/ BUT by all means stick with this group too, okay? Not everything we offer here is fattening LOL and many recipes, including my own, are directed towards fighting the obesity epidemic in the western world. Indeed, most responsible veggie groups these days are leaning towarads healthier options Best, Pat (Vegetarian Spice Owner/Host)

Hey Pat, I go to Maine every summer. Remember my Dad was sick? Not anymore. He's a cloud hopper. I finally turned my email back on. It's good to be back.
