Guest guest
OK everyone, those of you who are in the USA (or of the USA) and celebrate Thanksgiving now have that day creeping up on you bigtime. What plans do you have? Quiet, at home, at the home of family/friends, big party, small party, just the two of you ('honeymoon Thanksgiving' ) or what? As you know, those of us in Canada (or of/from Canada) celebrated ours last month, but there are no rules against double dipping. I'm not sure what we'll have in honour of our American friends and family members there, but we will observe the day one way or another. I had thought of a homemade stuffed gluten 'turkey' (using yuba for 'skin') but it seems a bit much to contemplate right now with only three days to go LOL Maybe just the gluten roast and some lovely bread/nut dressing/wouldbestuffing. Cranberries, sweet potatoes, etc., of course. Although I must confess my dh is lobbying for an enormous lasagna LOL We'll see! So what's on the agenda and/or the menu for you guys???? Come on, tell all! (And afterwards we can talk about how good it was or wasn't, if you like:)) Best, Pat
Guest guest
Well, my partner Kymberli & I are just having a small " just us " meal. Her immediate family recently moved and the extended family hasn't offered an invite, which is just as well as I look forward to creating our own traditions. We picked up the latest Vegetarian Times since we has such good luck with their Thanksgiving recipe last year. We are going to make the Harvest Pot Pie with squash, green beans, onion, potatos, corn etc with a pastry crust. We are also going to make a sage stuffing I've had my eye on for a while. I will post pics to my blog....as usual with most of our meals. http://cookingwithluinda.blogspot.com/ Cindi
Guest guest
I'm hoping this will be fun, my hubby and I will be having Thanksgiving at the Earthlodge outside of Antigua in Guatemala. They offer a Vegan option! I knew we had to stay with them when I read that. We fly into Guatemala City tomorrow night and will arrive Thanksgiving day. We hope to have 2 1/2 weeks of fun and adventure in Guatemala. The food situation is always interesting while traveling abroad. We know we'll be having a lot of beans(lard free I hope!!) and rice. Happy Thanksgiving to all those who celebrate it! cheers, Heidi from Whidbey Island , " drpatsant " <drpatsant wrote: > > OK everyone, those of you who are in the USA (or of the USA) and celebrate Thanksgiving > now have that day creeping up on you bigtime.
