Hi,

 

My name is Marjorie and I live in northern Illinois with my wonderful

husband, three kids, and cat.

 

We all eat vegan at home, but my kids and husband eat meat, dairy, and

eggs occasionally at social events. I plan to go 100% vegan this

year, but am struggling with social occasions...

 

I love to cook and I love spicy foods. We attempt to follow a low-fat

diet with as few processed foods as possible.

 

Looking forward to recipe ideas and support.

Welcome, Marjorie! Nice that you're able to keep a vegan kitchen - but it's true

that social

events can pose a problem Maybe some others here can give you a few tips???

We'll give you as much support as possible on that decision. We have quite a few

vegans

here, even though this group is and always has been an all-inclusive veggie

group (ovo-

lacto, lacto, vegan), and you will find that, quite naturally, quite a few

recipes here are

without eggs and dairy, since they come in some instances from parts of the

world which

has a greater tradition of strict vegetarianism. Others can often be adapted.
