I am interested in learning more about the vegan lifestyle for myself and my parrots. Parrots in the wild are vegans with the exception of an occasional bug larvae or two. I give my parrots and all organic, raw fruit, sprouts, raw veggies, raw nuts and vegetarian cooked diet with an occasional scrambled egg yolk thrown in. The birds also get red palm oil, coconut oil, hemp oil and flax seed oil on a regular basis. I have not tried the vegan way yet for myself, and would like to, but, do not know where to begin. I am also interested in learning more about nutritional values of fruits, nuts, and grains.
