Guest guest
I can't find this recipe in the files of any group, so I'm sending the review to everybody! This is the recipe; I printed it in Jan '07. RADISH AND GREEN ONION SALAD Summer salad 6 - 10 small or medium radishes bunch of thick green onions (spring onions) or scallions, green part only 2 - 4 tbsp smetana or crème fraîche about 3 tsp sugar pinch of salt Wash and dry vegetables. Cut radishes in thin slices. Slice the green part of onions and place in a bowl. Add some salt and all of the sugar (this salad is supposed to taste sweet), mix gently. Mix in the radish slices. Add the smetana, one tablespoon at a time, until you get a mixture resembling creamy potato salad in consistency. Chill and serve. Serving suggestion: This salad is good when served with cooked new potatoes and barbecue dishes or gravlax, salmon, herring and other fish or simply as a topping on canapés or filling in sandwiches. Firstly, I nearly doubled the recipe just cuz that's how many radishes I had. When I ran out of sour cream, I used plain yogurt. Everybody liked this. Even my wee ones (just 10 & almost 7)! Thank you whoever posted this recipe! Beth Beth “The right adult at the right time can make an enormous difference.
