Guest guest
Will you be filing in both places? For example, if someone sends in a new salsa recipe, presumably it won't ONLY be put in the " raw foods " folder, but would also go under salsa, right? If what you say about new raw foodists often starting up in February is true, that's very interesting. You'd think the heat of summer would be the most likely starting time. I think it would depend on the recipe, really. For example, a sunflower seed rawburger would belong under rawfoods not under, er, mains and sides or under salads. Likewise, rawfood cookies would probably belong under rawfoods only because of the special treatment they would need - ie. with a dehydrator. But if it was simply a 'refrigerate and serve' dish, then, sure, both places I agree salsa is a special case, as is salad. I think if a dish is presented as 'rawfood' then I would then double file it in those categories. I promise to do my best, okay? Perhaps if people sending in rawfood recipes could make clear that it IS a special rawfood recipe right on the post, then it will be easier for me to spot it. A salad is pretty much a salad otherwise Does that help? Feedback much appreciated! Love, Pat

But many people go veggie, for example, sometime during the latter part of the winter - they feel they need the wonderful produce. Then, when spring and summer comes they go back to their usual eating practices, having given their bods a good boost when they needed it most I agree the heat of the summer would be the obvious time it is just MADE for salads after all so why not go the whole way. Actually, the heat of summer when one's appetite is a bit less rabid would seem the obvious time to start any diet change, but it seems not to be the way it happens: most people start a new regime - for vanity or health or both - after the new year and then start again. And probably again! What's your info on this? Interesting . . . . Love, Pat
