Guest guest
What's cooking this coming weekend for you? Do any of you cook up your week's meals, or some of them, on the weekend? And if so, what's on the agenda? Starting tomorrow (yes, I know it'll only be Friday), I'm planning to get some good soups and stews made out of all those beans I cooked up and froze a while back - and find a way to use the last of my large head of cauliflower. I'm looking for something nice and spicy. Hmmmm! Sounds like something for the crockpot. And then by Saturday I'll be baking some bread - I'm getting low on it. How about you guys? Or do you have other plans for the weekend?? Love, Pat
Guest guest
I saw a great looking cauliflower recipe in EVERYDAY FOOD by Martha Stewart. (Yes, I know, I hate her too but this little magazine is wonderful!) Do you get that? It's called Spicy Cauliflower (with an unmentionable) LOL. We are invited out for dinner Saturday night, and I want to make a vegetable biryani tomorrow, if I get out to the Indian grocery in time. Actually, I don't to any such magazines - the only ones that come to this house are The Walrus (a Canadian magazine), Dogs in Canada (likewise), and Animal Times (from PETA). I used to buy Vegetarian Times on an irregular basis, and may do so again - or take out a subscription. > We are invited out for dinner Saturday night, and I want to make a vegetable > biryani tomorrow, if I get out to the Indian grocery in time. Sounds like a good weekend! I made lasagna (Eggplant and Mushroom) for our main meal at lunchtime today, and I have Curried Parnip Soup bubbling on the stove now and a loaf of quick bread in the oven. I've promised myself to cook up some other things before the weekend's out, but ya never know. Shall report back later! Love, Pat
