TVP Sloppy Joes

 

 

 

1 large onion, chopped

 

1 red bell pepper, chopped

 

1 ½ cups water

 

½ cup catsup

 

1 ½ cups tomato sauce

 

2 Tbs mustard

 

2 Tbs chili powder

 

2 Ts BBQ sauce (hickory)

 

1 ½ cups TVP

 

 

 

Saute onion and red pepper. Add water, catsup, tomato sauce, mustard,

chili powder and BBQ sauce. Bring to a boil. Add TVP = SIMMER+

 

 

 

(I got this recipe from someone who brought it to a VINE potluck. VINE is

the Ann Arbor, MI vegetarian group.)
