Guest guest
Hi everyone, No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth!!! I have been in London a week now and I have walked about a year's worth of steps (LOL). As well as getting to know several of the big London parks very well (including Hyde Park, Kensington gardens and Hampstead Heath) I have also visited several museums and have been to see a brilliant performance of my favourite opera – " The Magic Flute " by Mozart. Tomorrow I am off to a live performance of " Mary Poppins " . Yes I know, I am a big kid but I love Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music (to which our friend Chris shouted us when we were in England in July). I keep saying that I will `save' most of the museums and galleries for the wet weather but so far we have had good weather every day. There have been a couple of overcast mornings but even those days turned out to be quite good weather. I'm afraid that I haven't had very much computer time at all but I do hope to check back on some of the messages when I get home next week. This was just a quick `hi' type message – I'll probably bore you witless with holiday anecdotes when I get home. Hugs from Marie
Guest guest
Hi Marie - nice to hear from you We'll look forward to hearing of your trip when you get back home to the Netherlands. Meanwhile, keep a note of your favourite veggie restaurants and cafes over there - it would be useful for our UK members as well as members planning to travel to London! Nice thing about London is it's not hard to eat vegetarian!!! Love, Pat
