Since we all need a minute amount of fat in our diet,

how can I get this as a vegetarian?

Yes, indeed. Don't forget, too, that beans, grains and seeds all contain

oil/fat, some more

than others. Actually, quite a lot of vegetables have fat in them. It's not a

worry. If you're

concerned about getting your daily quota of Omega-3, you can sprinkle ground

flax seed

on your cereal or add it to salads. Great tasting stuff!

Indeed! (Remember to refrigerate pre-ground flax seed so it doesn't go rancid.)

Flax seed is especially important if you eat lots of walnuts because

walnuts have omega-6 and the flax helps to balance it.

Thanks for getting back to me on the " fat question " .

I'm STILL trying to convince my parents I want to go

veggie. However, they keep coming up with all these

things that believe I cannot do if I go vegetarian...
