Well, the responses to Roll Call and a Question are still coming in (and by all

means,

please continue to send 'em in!!!), but we've had a good response, considering

the time of

year, to yer intrepid leader's request ;) Thank you very much indeed!

It is, as you'll realize, important for us to know who is out there and reading

the posts on a

regular basis, even if you are normally shy and don't care to post as a usual

thing.

I have been very interested to read all the comments you have made about where

you live,

the conditions (climatic), and your eating habits. We all have one important

thing in

common: we love to eat good, wholesome food, and, for a group like this, it

seems we are

all happy to talk about it.

So let me make a suggestion: If you feel comfortable with it, why not break away

a bit

from the usual 'Recipes' theme of this group and just drop in whenever you like

to tell us

about what you're cooking, what you're eating out (or at home as take-away),

what's

available in the stores near you at this time of year - and anything else that

occurs to you.

Okay? We'll be able to get good ideas from others' experiences - and we'll get

to know

each other a little better, or at least as well as you want us to, eh? ;)

Simply keep it to

vegetarian foods (of course!), and we'll all be happy.

Again, thanks to all who have responded so far, and thanks in advance to those

who are

still sending in their replies to the Roll Call! I'm sorely tempted to answer

each one of you

personally, but I think a mailbox full of dozens of posts from 'Pat' might be

more than

anyone can hope to cope with any day of the year.

Love to all and hugs all round,

Pat (Owner, Vegetarian Spice)

Good idea Pat. I like hearing what everyone is making/eating!

I'll start. I made Pat's Orange Soup the other night. Not as spicy as the recipe

called for (I have young children whose tolerance for spicy varies day to day

and sometimes meal to meal). It was yummy. I added some chopped spinach so it

had green flecks in it. The boys liked it so I'm happy!

Chopped spinach in the Orange Soup - that would

be so pretty and so good! I'll try it that way

next time - Thanks!!!! I don't have all the

makings for it right now, but I shall be shopping

in a couple of days or so :) Love oranges in soup

- it appeals to the kid in me, to add 'sweet'

things to savoury LOL

And I'm so pleased you tried the soup and

reported back. Sometimes we must all think we are

sending our recipes and cooking tips into a

vacuum, don't you think?

Love and hugs, Pat
