Guest guest
Oh dear, it is that time of year, isn't it? Everyone is busy and somehow mistakes happen. Please try to take care - I will take more care myself - to make sure that you don't send messages in the wrong direction Okay, gelatin desserts aren't vegetarian, okay? So that recipe has now been removed from the archives. A vegetarian version would be most welcome, however. The problem here of course is that if you send messages to a couple of dozen groups and we are the only vegetarian group among the lot, then we are reasonably likely to get non- vegetarian recipes. This is another good reason to observe some netiquette and not bulk post in this way, right? (There's always a good reasons for those guidelines, I find.) Okay, thanks everyone for your continued patience! Best of the season to you all - and a Happy 2008 coming up! Once I get a reliable source for agar (I still have a couple of places to check) I'm going to be doing some experimenting and this list will be the first folks to know when I hit on something good! Last night I made a spicy pumpkin soup but it still needs " something " and I'm not sure what, so I'm going to wait until I can play around with it some more before I post it. But it will be coming up! What I ended up with was pretty tasty, even though it still needs some work. I've been playing with a rather unusual cabbage-and-apple recipe that gets better each time I make it but still needs " something " and I don't know what. Unlike the pumpkin soup (for which I have several ideas) I'm at a loss as to what would improve the cabbage recipe. Is it okay to post it as-is so far with the mention that it still seems to be missing something? Maybe some of the folks here could help figure out the " missing link " it needs? Season's Greetings :-) Sparrow

Oh good! Let us know when you're ready to post, eh? I adore pumpkin soup! > I've been playing with a rather unusual > cabbage-and-apple recipe . . . Certainly!! Just post it with a query!! That'd be fine. I really wish more people would feel they could do that rather than just feel that they can't post unless their recipe is 'perfect' - if it's good as it is, then it's good. If it's good but you feel it needs more, then by all means ask for ideas! Thanks for thinking of us with your recipe - I love cabbage and I love apple - in fact, I love cabbage with fruit, eg. raisins, dried apricots. Just a kid at heart!
