Guest guest
I'm new to this group and new to Missouri. I live in Springfield. I eat mostly raw foods so when I eat cooked, I want it to be a great recipe. I've been lurking in this group for awhile and I like it here because the posts are helpful and friendly. It looks like I've moved into " meat eating country " . I get stares when I ask " do you have anything without meat on the menu? " I've been making Green Juices and, to my surprise, they're good:) Nice to be here. Therese
Guest guest
Hi Therese, and welcome to the group It's nice to have a lurker come out of hiding! - and what nice things you say about us too! Thank you Okay, I hope you like spicy food when you have cooked, because most of the recipes here are of the spicy kind, as you will no doubt know. Nevertheless, it is always possible to cut down on the chilies/cayenne/ginger/whatever to make it closer to what you want or need - just as we can all add a bit more to the recipes, not in all but in many cases, to bring things up to the required degree of 'heat'. I understand what you mean about Me*t Country - there are more areas dedicated to the growing and/or consumption of meat, I think, on this continent that there are areas dedicated to vegetarianism! But of course, that is to be expected, I guess, in a world where vegetarianism can be looked upon as something only weird people embrace - or something forced on parts of the world where food is scarce. Hang in there - they must eat some vegetables and fruit at least some of the time - or am I being naive? LOL Anyway, good to have you here - just shout out for any recipes you'd like to see and we'll do our best to oblige And write in often, okay? - now that we've officially 'met' you. You don't have to supply a recipe to be part of discussions or to ask questions or give tips. And I think more people would like to learn a little, on a casual basis, about Raw Food. You could help out here, right? What green juices to you like best? Thanks for introducing yourself. Take good care, enjoy your new home, and keep happy! Best, Pat (Group Owner) ---- Dr Patricia M.
