Guest guest
Hi, does anyone have a recipe for vegan " gelatin " ? My mom used to bring a raspberry-walnut gelatin mold to all of our family gatherings, and I would love to recreate it without the gelatin. I know I could use agar, but any ideas on how much to use and how to flavor it? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Jody

I have not had a chance to play with agar yet, so these are not tried-and-true suggestions, but here is a basic vegan " jello " recipe to start you off: http://www.recipezaar.com/176280 You can also check your local health food store or food co-op as there are packaged " jello " mixes that use agar or carageenan instead of gelatin. Hope this helps! Sparrow
