Guest guest
Hi! My name is Kelly. I'm a SAHM to two wonderful sons and have recently stopped eating meat. I had been thinking about it and wanting to do it for years - literally since I was a child - but finally have completely made the switch. Aside from a total *mommy brain* moment, it's been nearly a month since I've ate meat. I feel great! Since I've just started out, relatively speaking, I'm looking for tasty recipes for me and my family. My sons rarely eat meat when offered anyway, so I want to provide a variety of options. Since we're also joining a ShareCrop this season, I'd like to better utilize the fruits and veggies that I'll have. I'm also going to start canning this year and will be searching for yummy canning recipes as well! Thanks for sharing your plethora of recipes, advice, and tips on lifestyle! I love that I've finally made the choice to be vegetarian and want to continue making good choices for me and my family! Thanks! Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Kelly! Well congratulations - it must feel great to be off me*t after all these years of wanting to give it up! I should think you have every right to be really proud of yourself! Don't worry about the little lapse - it happens to everyone (or almost everyone) at some time or other in the early days of being vegetarian. Indeed, some people actually are never aware that they *have* slipped - such as absent-mindedly picking up and eating a cracker that has something animal on it at a party while one's mind is on something else. It could be forgetting or never knowing that a favourite 'veggie' dish at a restaurant has ch*cken stock. You just do the best you can. After a while it becomes second nature to check everything Meanwhile, talking about 'checking', why not check out our Files (link on our homepage) for some good recipes to keep you happy in your newfound lifestyle? And of course you must ask if you need any help at all - we do so love to help!!! We'll look forward to hearing how you're going! Best, Pat (Group Owner) ---- Dr Patricia M.
