Guest guest
Hi Pat, I can't comment about whether cinnamon makes tinned tomatoes taste like fresh ones. I must do a 'taste test' next time I try a dish with the combination. My lasagne recipe doesn't have any tomatoes in it apart from tomato puree. I love Moroccan food and I know that the cuisine makes a lot of use of cinnamon. Here's a link to a recipe I have on my 'must try' list. It contains both tinned tomatoes and cinnamon and I think it sounds wonderful. I'll let you know what I think when I have tried it. http://vegetariancuisine.suite101.com/article.cfm/moroccan_stew Hugs from Marie Patricia Sant <drpatsant wrote: > You're right, cinnamon does go great with > tomatoes. If I can intrude a word into this chat: a cyberfriend of mine (my co-host on my Care2 vegan group) swears that a little touch of cinnamon makes all the difference, especially (she says) if you use it with canned tomatoes. She says it makes them taste like fresh. What do you think? Love and hugs, Pat . Sent from & #45; a smarter inbox.
