Guest guest Posted January 19, 2008 Report Share Posted January 19, 2008 recipe for a gametime grilled vegetarian hoagie ------------------ ingredients a nice rustic [long] whole wheat, or nice seeded whole grain roll - or toast the roll later with the grilled veggies on it, in the press like you're making a panini ------------------- stuff to grill in advance for hoagie using a tiny bit of evo season & thinly sliced the following grill zucchini portobello mushrooms thin eggplant thin red onion ------------------- jar stuff for the hoagie drained roasted red peppers drained artichoke hearts ------------------- fresh stuff, to line the hoagie roll with - crisp lettuce, basil leaves or baby spinach leaves or arugula * [i prefer] ------------------- a light drizzle sauce made of whisked olive oil, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, parsley, cracked peppercorns & lemon juice ------------------- assemble sandwiches, then slice into smaller portions & plate [on a pretty platter] with grape tomatoes [hot peppers rings, capers & assorted olives optional] & [veggie] crisps for your guests. - enjoy the games! **************Start the year off right.
