Guest guest
Hi everyone. My name is Sandra and I have just joined the group. I live on the North Shore of Massachusetts and have been a vegetarian most of my life. I am in my 40's and married with two teenage boys and one golden retriever. My hobby is creating mosaics. I am looking forward to this group because I love spicy and so does my family, all of whom are not vegetarian. I am hoping I can get some recipe ideas that they will love too so that they don't even notice the meat is missing. Thanks for having me. Guest guest
Welcome, Sandra! Well, if your family loves spicy food, maybe they'll forgive you the absence of me*t in their meals now and then Have a look in our Files - arranged according to the type/ethnicity of food, more or less, for the main dishes etc. I should think Italian and Mexican style dishes should fit the bill - and some Indian dishes are so good without any me*t ever having been intended for them. Give it a try! Also, anything with beans goes over pretty well for non-veggies. Lots of members here are in your situation, so you should get lots of help once they know what your family and you yourself like to eat. Are you ovo-lacto vegetarian? Most here are, I think, although there is a sizeable vegan group too. Looking forward to hearing from you.
