Guest guest
Fettucini with Mushroom Gravy Three things: boiled and drained fettucini, vegan gravy (I used a mix), and sauted mushrooms (I sauted in olive oil). Mix the three ingredients together. Almost as easy to make as it was to type. *grin*
Guest guest
Doesn't get simpler than that, does it, unless you can find a mix with the mushrooms already in it *wink* But you know, sometimes the simpler things are a boon when you're hungry, tired but can't bear the thought of another take-out meal. Quick & Easy meals? We all need 'em! Guest guest
I guess you could get the mushroom gravy in jar. Put just enough in a bowl for one serving and heat in microwave, then add just enough noodles for one and stir. Probably could get even easier. , Pat <drpatsant wrote: > > Doesn't get simpler than that, does it, unless > you can find a mix with the mushrooms already in > it *wink* > > But you know, sometimes the simpler things are a > boon when you're hungry, tired but can't bear the > thought of another take-out meal. LOL Probably could, but it would be a horror show of a meal by then, eh? Still, I imagine that there are some clever concoctions people with hungry kids have made successfully in a motel room with the aid of a coffee/tea maker - but let's not go there right now. I'm not feeling quite strong enough Love and hugs, Pat

For a hungry kid, if there's a microwave, nuke a potato and put salsa on it. If there's no cooking facilities, Fantastic Foods makes an instant hummus that's not as good as fresh but not bad in a pinch. If you just make it with water, it's got 3.5 g fat per serving (the box says to add olive oil, but I never do.) Add some pita bread (doesn't crush in the suitcase like yeast bread!) a couple of tomatoes (romas are hardy enough to survive a purse) and a container of sprouts and there's a quick lunch for everyone while travelling. :-) Sparrow
