Guest guest
Okay, everyone, in case you're living in a cave or under the sea (or under the sea in a cave), today is VALENTINE'S DAY! And lots of people like to go out or bring food in or make something a tiny bit special just because. So, what's for you for dinner tonight? We're heading out to our fave asian veggie restaurant - not exciting but delish - and then who knows. And we have some organic vegan chocolate for a little treat this evening in lieu of dessert (I get migraine from chocolate, but a little taste will be fine *fingerscrossed*) since the restaurant's idea of dessert is pretty banal. Oh, and I have defrosted some of my holiday fruit cake for this evening too - very healthy stuff, I promise So, if you're doing something nice in honour of the day, why not tell us about it? We love to hear how other people celebrate these special days - it adds to our enjoyment a bit (at least, it always adds to mine!) Love and hugs, Pat
Guest guest
My hubby whipped up some lovely chunky veggie pasta for me and I made a nice grean salad. Chocolate triggers my migraines to but I successfully enjoyed 3 pieces without any pain. Although to much garlic for me causes a bit of indigestion and nausea and the hubby over did it with that. My 3 year old daughter is getting to the point where she will not eat any m**t so she had veggie pasta also. She told me this morning as she was drinking her soy milk (cow milk makes her sick when its drank but I can cook with it and no illness) that we are " veggiemataran " . Now that's the kind of cooperative venture I love to read about! Sounds delish too! > Chocolate triggers my > migraines to but I > successfully enjoyed 3 pieces without any pain. I got away with two pieces - I wasn't quite game to try for another. No problem though. Lovely stuff. Sigggghhhhhhhhh. And I love 'veggiemataran' LOL Can I be veggiemataran too? You could start a new club - a worldwide movement - headed by one three-year-old little girl, of course. And oh yes, did I say somewhere? - anyway, we went out (vegan-friendly vegetarian restaurant) and started with crystal rolls, then had enoki mushroom balls (seaweed with the mushrooms, fried but what the heck) over baby bokchoy, also some fake fish with veggies in black bean sauce. All very nice indeed. But I rather fancy your menu - easier on the digestion and then of course there's the delightful company of your three-year-old. And you guys got salad!
