Vida wrote about a number of products and foods

especially of interest to vegetarians and vegans.

Among them was spirulina:

Although it smells like pond scum it taste pretty

good and has a lot of nutrients. So much so that

organizations are supporting its use around the

globe to feed people.

 

Oh heavens - another spirulina eater! My dh and I

never let a morning go by without putting

spirulina into our smoothies, and we also like to

add a little to greens soups when the cooking is

finished. It's awesome. We say it smells of the

sea :) The taste, once mixed (haven't tried it

otherwise) is delicious and it goes well in both

sweet smoothies and savoury, as I say. It is a

superfood!
