Guest guest
[Apologies for repeating part of a message which will be objectionable to some members.] > Excellent sources of selenium include garlic, > mushrooms, cod, shrimp, > snapper, sardines, tuna, halibut, salmon, > calf's liver and Brazil > nuts . . . Oops! Dead animal flesh alert!!! An oversight, I'm sure, but here goes: Helping others to help their loved ones is a kindness to that one person - but when the information given includes suggestions for consuming animals it goes against vegetarian principles and practice. So, sadly, the problem with this kind of message is not that it is OT (one carefully marked as such is usually quite okay with us) but offensive to some vegetarians. Many of us are in this lifestyle not because of health or weight-loss considerations but out of compassion for the animals and the planet. Please would everyone remember to be careful, and edit such reference to ALL animals (including those of the air, water and land) OUT of any information passed on here. Otherwise, address such posts privately to the person to whom you wish to communicate, to their private email addy and not to the whole group. That way only one person is offended *shrug* Best, Pat (Vegetarian Spice Owner) ---- Raw Vegan: http://www.care2.com/c2crAw_vEgAn Vegetarian Spice: BeanVegan Food Blog: http://beanvegan.blogspot.com Vegan World Cuisine: http://www.care2.com/c2cvegworld Vegetarian Slimming: vegetarianslimming Vegetarians In Canada: vegetariansincanada " Atrocities are not less atrocities when they occur in laboratories and are called medical research.
