Guest guest
Hi. I am new to the board. My family has been eating vegetarian for two months and have been enjoying the benefits. I am looking to expand my recipe selections beyond stir-fry and the like. My daughter chooses to eat vegan, so I have the extra challenge of avoiding the dairy products.I would like to learn about some of the alternatives like tempeh, hummus, sietan, and the apparently many uses of tofu. Where do you suggest I start ?
Guest guest
Welcome to the group. I'm Marie and I am an expat Australian now living in the Netherlands. If you are looking for some interesting new recipes to try you can't do much better than start with the recipes on file. Just go to the group home page, files, recipes and you will see lots of different recipe categories. Have fun browsing through the files. Please let us know if you try any of the rcipes there. We always love hearing about which recipes people use and how they adapt them to their own taste. Cheers from Marie , " amethystqz " <amethystqz wrote: > > Hi. I am new to the board. Guest guest
I have benefited greatly from: http://www.healthy-eating.com/ as a source of vegetarian supplies (like textured vegetable/soy protein, vital wheat gluten, tempeh-making cultures, etc.), vegetarian ready-to-eat foods, and books. I have bought books from them on cooking with miso, tempeh, tofu, TVP, etc. I found them by accident on the internet while looking for sources of vegetarian cooking supplies. Best regards, amethystqz wrote: > > Hi. I am new to the board. My family has been eating vegetarian for > two months and have been enjoying the benefits.
