Guest guest
Hi Erin, & nbsp; I can't say that I have ever noticed any health problems which I suspected were related to soy intake. & nbsp; However, that is a purely personal observation. & nbsp; I'm sure we all sympathise with you and 'hear you' as you seem to be facing some problems in adopting your chosen diet but it would be extremely difficult for any of us to make a judgement about your question. & nbsp; In any case, I think that would be entering very dangerous territory. & nbsp; Group members are always more than happy to answer questions and discuss vegetarian/vegan issues and their own experiences but & nbsp;giving advice about personal health problems is a matter for professionals. & nbsp; Not only do we not know what your medical problems are but, even if we did, this is not a forum for providing personal medical advice. & nbsp; I would recommend that you discuss the individual issues/concerns with your doctor or other health professional. & nbsp; & nbsp; Perhaps it would be possible for you to do some Internet research first to see if there are any references linking your specific problems with diet in general and soy intake in particular. & nbsp; That way you would be able to present the results of your research to your chosen health professional and ask for his or her comments. & nbsp; I am sure you will be able to find lots of relevant information by Googling soy/health/problems or something similar. & nbsp; Having done this you will be able to see if there are references indicating that any of your health problems could be & nbsp;soy related. & nbsp; Armed with the results of your research you will have a concrete basis for discussion with your health professional. & nbsp; Best of luck. & nbsp; Cheers from Marie & nbsp;So over the past year I've gradually gone back to vegetarianism; I've been trying veganism the past few months. Truthfully, it's not going so well. I feel better eating this way, but my health has been suffering. & nbsp; I hate to put a damper on the wonderful vegetarian lifestyle, but does anyone else feel my pain? How many of you have struggled to go veggie and stay healthy? Does anyone know of any specific health problems related to vegetarianism? That sounds silly, because everything I've ever read insists that herbivores are healthier than omnivores. My doctors don't think my health issues are diet-related, but I still wonder about the soy.
