Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been lurking but thought it was time to jump in and make my presence known. Vegetarian food and spices are two of my favorite things! & nbsp; I've finally taken the plunge and ordered from Penzey's. & nbsp; You've not tasted black peppercorns and cinnamon until you have had theirs. I don't understand why people don't think you can be a foodie and be a vegetarian/vegan at the same time! & nbsp; I've met vegans/vegetarians who were happy eating boiled veggies, but that's not me. & nbsp; I like to truly savor my food. & nbsp; Love spicy food and ethnic cuisines, especially Asian. Favorite cookbooks: & nbsp; Vegetarian Planet and Veganicom. I live in Atlanta, but am a transplant from up north. & nbsp; Married, 54, no kids except for a big orange furkid---a cat named Tang---if you beg me, I might be persuaded to post his photo so you could see him in all 25 pounds of his glory! & nbsp; Early retired from a career in health care/human services. Y'all seem like really nice people. & nbsp; Wish I could meet some fellow veggies in real life! & nbsp; Anyone else here from Atlanta? Guest guest
Welcome to the group! I love the daily recipes! I have to work very quickly to save them, because more are always on the way! That is a good thing, because it keeps me from falling into a rut like when I was an omni. I have found that it does take a little bit more creativity to come up with something to cook. But I am fairly new and suspect that it gets much easier after a while as you start to think outside the box and start preparing more meals. I checked out quite a few cookbooks from the library before hankering down money on them. I currently have the Veganicom one as well. It is wonderful and I love the way that it is written. I have not prepared much out of it yet. But I will. -Gypsy </message/7188;_ylc=X3oDMTJybXJ vcGM3BF9TAzk3MzU5NzE1BGdycElkAzEyNzA1NTkxBGdycHNwSWQDMTcwNTA0MTcxNgRtc2dJZAM 3MTg4BHNlYwNkbXNnBHNsawN2bXNnBHN0aW1lAzEyMTI5MTc2Mjg-> Hello Posted by: " Ellen Lederman " <ellenled?Subject=%20Re%3AHello> ellenled <http://profiles./ellenled> ellenled Sat Jun 7, 2008 2:19 pm (PDT) Hi everyone, I've been lurking but thought it was time to jump in and make my presence known.
