Guest guest
Hello Claire. Welcome to the group, to which I am fairly new myself. I am a vegetarian " wannabe " -- I still eat meat but it's not daily and it's only when I get a craving for it -- and I am always on the lookout for meatless recipes that will make a full and satisfying meal, especially if it can be made without buying a bunch of ingredients that will sit in my cupboard and never be used again. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. Am 49, have two boys (age 15 and almost 20) who both live at home with me and my spouse on a farm. I have two blogs; the link to one is below, the other is at http://xoetc.antville.org. I also have a webpage called The Vegetarian Wannabe, which is a recipe collection for aspiring vegetarians. I don't add to it nearly often enough. Time, time! Never enough of it! I'm a freelance subject editor for a web publication, and work in my home office about 20 hours a week in the areas of architecture, dance, film and theatre. My spouse and I have purchased a house on 37 acres and since he is a general contractor as well as a farmer, he has been renovating it before we move in. It's a slow process though, because he is always so busy working at his " paying " jobs. Today I think he's putting a second coat of paint on some of the interior rooms. We have yet to paint or re-stain the kitchen cupboards and put down new flooring. We've bought cork for some rooms and will put linoleum in the kitchen, dining and hallway. He was just going out the door when I got out of bed. Most Sunday mornings I watch Coronation Street, which was my mother's favourite show and which I now love. But this morning I couldn't make myself sit there for the hours it takes to catch up on the week's episodes, which are all broadcast in a chunk on the weekend. We've had rain (much needed) for a week and today the sun is shining and I'm anxious to finish my morning coffee and get over to the new place, where I have planted a huge flower garden and *some* vegetables. Guest guest
Hey there Claire! Welcome to the group. I love some spicy foods, but not as much as I used to. I have noticed that as I get older my taste buds are very sensitive now. But I still love some spicy foods and would like to incorporate a little more into our lives. I am looking to pick up the cookbook Fire and Spice and see how I like it. I am a mother of two DD's who are 15 and 4 respectively. They both love spicier foods. So, I can't wait to try more. Please let us know how you fare with the boys. -Gypsy </message/7199;_ylc=X3oDMTJyMGI 4YmFlBF9TAzk3MzU5NzE1BGdycElkAzEyNzA1NTkxBGdycHNwSWQDMTcwNTA0MTcxNgRtc2dJZAM 3MTk5BHNlYwNkbXNnBHNsawN2bXNnBHN0aW1lAzEyMTM1MjI5OTg-> Intro Posted by: " Claire " <claire280870?Subject=%20Re%3AIntro> claire280870 <http://profiles./clairethewitch70> clairethewitch70 Sun Jun 15, 2008 1:28 am (PDT) Hello my name is Claire, I am 37 and I live in the UK. Guest guest
Hello I recently moved to a very small small holding (2 acres - thats a lot in the UK!!) and am hoping to grow my own veg. I have started this year with potatoes, some herbs, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, peppers and 5 fruit trees. Hopefully I will have time to look after them! I am a writer too - I have a craft column in 4 local newspapers Claire , " suzanne bellerive " <sbellerive wrote: > > > > I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. Guest guest
Hello Gypsy I love spicy foods as I read somewhere that hot spices keep your sinuses and airways clear. As a chronic sinus sufferer (kids too), I have gradually increased spicyness. I have added chili puree to pasta dishes and even mix mild chilli powder into egg mayo sandwich filling and it is yummy. Good way to intro kids too. Claire , " Felicia " <lovemylocks wrote: > > Hey there Claire! Guest guest
Hi, I am sure you've used horseradish? To the extent used it,definitely will clear your sinuses.
