Hi Claire,

 

Welcome to the group.

 

I'm Marie, 62, originally from Australia but now living in the Netherlands.  I

love visiting the UK and I am lucky enough to have a very good friend who lives

in London so I can stay with her.  If there is a street in central London I

haven't walked along I'd be surprised!!  I'm heading off for UK again at the

end of June - a few days in London, 1 week in Windermere, 1 week in Whitby, 1

week in York, 3 days in Oxford (my husband is presenting a paper at a Harry

Potter conference there) then back to London for two weeks.

 

We are long term vegetarians.  My husband became a vegetarian at 15 and I began

the transition to a vegetarian diet back in the early 1980's.  The process took

about 18 months.  I'm now toying with the idea of a vegan diet although it will

present a few logistical problems as I know my husband is not at all interested

in going vegan.

 

I'd be interested to hear how your boys are taking to the introduction of

spicier foods into their diets?

 

If you haven't done so already, I recommend that you have a browse through the

group's recipe files.  There is a wealth of great recipes there.  If you have

any recipes to share please feel free.  The more the merrier!
