Guest guest
Just a brief intro for now. I have considered myself a semi-vegetarian for the last year or so. I do eat fish and dairy. Perhaps five or six times a year I eat meat. So I guess I'm a work in progress. I live in the Hudson River Valley of NYS with my three little canine people with fur. That's about it for now. Nice to meet you. - Jexie
Guest guest
Hi Jexie (what kind of name is that? is it short for something, or a nickname?) I call myself a " vegetarian wannabe. " I still eat meat but it is not a staple of my diet. I live on a Saskatchewan farm with a loverboy and two sons age 15 and 20. Right now I am putting off working! I am a freelance editor for a web publication and had best get back to earning money. Thanks for the welcome. Jexie is just a made up name. I like the sound. I have four grown and gone offspring. Two of each gender. One of whom accounts for my occasional meat meals. One of my SIL's is vegetarian. Except for Thanksgiving (I'm serious). He just prefers non meat meals. Tomorrow I'll check out the recipes and see what I have any to add. Guest guest
Jexie, That's pretty good for a made-up name, girl. When I was expecting my first baby, I was trying to make up a name for a girl and hey, it's not easy to do. (Ultrasound reading had been " 95% chance that baby is female; turned out to be a boy, just as I had originally believed). I have a recipe webpage, I don't post to it much but am trying to put all my tried-and-true vegetarian recipes there. Will post that link here when I track it down (you can tell how often I post to it). Guest guest
A huge welcome to the group Many members here are not actually vegetarian, but that's okay (as long as we don't talk about eating animal flesh in the regular group posts, eh? LOL) - and you never know, after being here for a while you might like to try giving up that f*sh and whatever else! Have a great time here and ask for anything you need to know. Try out our recipes (Files section on our Homepage) and our Links - and get to know us, as we hope we'll get to know you better! Guest guest
WELCOME I look forward to your contributions to the group (recipes). It is nice to hear your honesty.I started off cutting out land meat, and now I strive to cut out eggs and dairy. It was hard giving up fish, land meat was easy for me You are in a good direction --- On Tue, 7/15/08, drpatsant <drpatsant wrote: drpatsant <drpatsant Re: Hi ...
