I'm new--Flowers as lettuce!

Hi Pat, Becki, & all!

 

I'm new here, but went cold-turkey Vegetarian in 1975, January 1st. Never looked

back! Raised my 4 children vegetarian.....after it took my hubby a year to make

the switch completely.

 

I'm in the Ozarks. Lettuce is so high priced, I decided to stop playing around

with flowers and just make them the main part of my salads!

 

I'm collecting Day Lillies along the roadside and eating them every day of late!

I cut the flower petals with a scissors instead of tearing them like lettuce.

 

Do you like that recipe!?

I look forward to your contributions to the group  (recipes). It is nice to hear

your honesty.I started off cutting out land meat, and now I strive to cut out

eggs and dairy. It was hard giving up fish, land meat was easy for me You are in

a good direction

A huge welcome to the group Many members here are not actually vegetarian,

but that's okay (as long as we don't talk about eating animal flesh in the

regular group posts, eh? LOL) - and you never know, after being here for a while

you might like to try giving up that f*sh and whatever else! Have a great

Just a brief intro for now.

 

 

 

I have considered myself a semi-vegetarian for the last year or so.

 

 

 

I do eat fish and dairy. Perhaps five or six times a year I eat meat.

 

 

 

So I guess I'm a work in progress.

 

 

 

I live in the Hudson River Valley of NYS with my three little canine

 

 

 

people with fur.

 

 

 

That's about it for now.
