Guest guest
Nope, I'm not turning this into a health group! No way!!! But FYI only, I am passing on a link that should cheer those of you have who have embraced vegetarianism for health reasons. It shouldn't disappoint the rest of us either - an added bonus! This from Natural News - good news about a recent study by Dr Ornish, published this summer. http://www.naturalnews.com/024015.html As if we needed any more good reasons to go veggie, eh? But again, pass it on to those who are still skeptical! Love and hugs, Pat
Guest guest
You can hear him talk about it here: http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=5183215 & affil=wjla And be sure to read " The Spectrum " as well. Guest guest
I seen a study done on twins on cable tv. I think the program was called Nova. It was about finding out why one identical twin gets cancer etc and the other twin (with exact same genes) doesn't have it and they tied it to the differences in what the twins were eating! They concluded that what we eat can & does change our genes into causing diseases or keeping us healthy! Guest guest
Thank you for the video link! I pass on this information to family and friends, some of them are not vegetarian/vegan. My Mom & Sister are now reading The China Study and I have a girlfriend who is a newly converted vegetarian (3 months ago) right after she began reading the China Study she was so shocked that she immediately stopped eating meat! Guest guest
Hi Louanne, Good for you About The China Study - that is one fantastic book. It has changed many people's ideas and consequently changed their health for the better. I recommend it to everyone who will listen, and I am happy to say that libraries should have it.
