QUESTION: What vegetable or fruit have you tried for the first time or

rediscovered over

the summer (or winter, of course, if you're below the equator)? What is it? Grew

beets in my garden this year and tried those cooked in the oven with some sea

salt and olive oil. Am going to learn how to can so that way none are wasted,

only I don't want them pickled. If none (really?),

then what is your favourite that you have eaten of most? I also grew some

rainbow colored leafy stuff and have eaten quite a bit of that. Still waiting

for my peaches to rippen.

 

 

Jenn Parry. Still in Oregon until at least april of 2010 then possibly off to

Tx. after my husband comes back from over-seas. Have been knitting hats, scarves

and washclothes, am hoping to get a couple blankets done this winter. Got my new

tattoo.
