I'm Sandy and live in the southern US.

I am a sahm working on starting a career in freelance writing.

We are going through some of the toughest financial times in over 20 years

so I haven't tried many new vegetables. It has been a struggle to buy any at

all!

I tried growing zucchini and tomatoes. My son's gf planted seeds from a

zucchini for my birthday and my son bought the little tomato plants. We got

two zucchini before the plants died and have had a few tomatoes.

When I get extra money, I head to the local farmer's market!

Love,

Sandy

Im Still Here. I'm Kaye in Texas, Veg with no dairy or gluten for

about a year now. I have rediscovered pretty well all veggies since I

was really eating so few for so long. I am loving asparagus, peas,

okra, cucumbers, mushrooms, and POTATOES. Everyday for lunch I usually

have a bowl of basmati rice with a teaspoon of smart balance light or

ghee along with a pinch of coriander, curry, tumeric, & cumin(all good

for digestion). I toss in steamed asparagus, mushrooms, and chickpeas

or whatever veggies float my boat for the day. I also love eating

sunflower seeds with my breakfast. I have also discoverd braggs aminos

for an occasional flavoring and my favorite Frozen dinner is Amy's

Kitchen Black-eyed peas Vegetable and Rice Bowl. Peace!

Well, yeah, Louanne, you're dead right. Ghee is clarified butter. However, I

googled and came up with this fwiw :)

It seems there is such a thing as vegan 'ghee' which is from palm oil and

soybean oil. The photographic evidence is on the link!

Hi Joyce

Once I had several spaghetti squashes so was keeping them over fall and

winter. When I went to bake the last one, all the " spaghetti " had been

" eaten up " by the seed area.

Just for your information ... they don't keep as long as I thought they

would.

Better yet, eat 'em all right away! They *are* delicious. I saved seed last

fall to plant some, but didn't dry it well enough because it was mouldy when

I went to sow it this spring.
