Or is it a crutch that's best cast aside as soon as possible? Guest guest Posted September 23, 2008 Report Share Posted September 23, 2008 I admit, I love many of them! My favorite indulgence is the Stonewall's Jerquee...it's SOOO good! My uber-omni brother even loves it and begs for me to pick some up for him when I go to the health-food store. I certainly think we should strive to eat as " clean " and natural as possible, but there are so many great soy options these days, and they help keep my diet less boring (I love beans and rice, obviously, but I just can't eat them EVERY day at EVERY meal!). Plus, they're great for those transitioning to a veggie diet, with lots of great substitutes that feel familiar (chili made with Gimme Lean is amazing!), and of course many of them fool our omni friends and show just how satisfying and versatile a veggie diet can be!
