Welcome Charlotte. I am glad some of the folks I've been inviting off

the 'food

and drinks' member directory on have taken me up on the offer.

I think

as we all learn the important role that diet plays on our health that

many

people are seeking healthier alternatives to a meat-dominant diet.

Even just

to get some different recipes, cooking ideas etc, for a few meat-free

meals

each week. Good to have you here. :)

Hi all I am new here too, I am not totally veg.but I have always hated

eating meat, I guess I just don't get the joy out of it. I love veggies

maybe for me is because there easy to chew. I have tmj really bad, so

anything that is hard to chew is out. I am learning to love black

beans, and am eating more mixes at whole foods store, I love brown,

wild rice. well got to go. Debbie

Hi everyone, I am new here as well. I've been a lifelong vegetarian -

by religion when young, and by choice in adulthood. And I *LOVE* spicy

food!! With a passion to cook AND devour spicy veggie food! ;)

Having two kids, I am always looking for interesting (esp

kid-friendly) ideas, veggie recipes, and veggie-related news. So here

I am!! :)

Thanks for welcoming me!

Welcome to all the new members. I keep archiving wonderful recipes that

appear on the list, but haven't actually tried any of them yet. They look

pretty good though, and I have all good intentions!

I have been adding my tried-and-trues to the " In the Kitchen " section of the

Stubblejumpers Cafe webpage, and eventually will compile a Stubblejumpers

recipe book when there are enough to make it worthwhile. Right now, though,

it's a matter of finding enough time for all these projects. I'm sure you

all know exactly what that's like, between the daily struggle to keep the

kitchen clean enough to feel like cooking and eating in at all, and working

(I have a great job editing several online encyclopedia sections from my

home office, and work at it four hours a day, weekdays; what do all the rest

of you do?), and getting outside for walks, and so on.

Kate, Hi!  That sounds like interesting work from home!  I'm a technology

teacher (can't sleep tonight). I'm looking for something from home during the

summers. Any ideas? There is one legit company for home work, but they haven't

started in MISSOURI as yet.....looks like great recipes here.
