Guest guest Posted December 14, 2008 Report Share Posted December 14, 2008 Hi Dragon,  The idea of a butter bean pie sounds great to me too although I do agree that it could benefit from a bit of extra 'oomph' in the spice department. When you get the recipe perfected just let me know. I might even arrange to drop in to collect it personally!!!!!! (Sorry folks, that's an in joke - I am in the throes of making arrangements to catch up with Dragon and her husband when I am in England in January.)  Do you think a rice pie crust would work (substituting vegan cheese and egg replacer if necessary)? I know it sounds like a lot of carbohydrate in one dish but then ordinary pastry is high in carbs too. Also the rice crust, with its egg and cheese or vegan alternatives, probably has as much fat as puff pastry. Anyway, it's a thought to consider.  Hugs form Marie Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
