FYI:

This message has been sent out re Harold Robbins, Diet for a New American, May

All Be Fed, etc., who gave up his inheritance to the Baskins-Robbins icecream

empire to promote a vegan lifestyle for health. I think many of you may have

read his books and sympathize fully with his views and, now, with his

predicament.

This is the message I received multiply this morning -

---

John

Robbins, one of the world's greatest advocates for the

vegan/vegetarian/raw food lifestyle, and long time proponent of animal

rights, is in dire trouble and needs our help.

Thank You.

Seems weird that you would say Harold Robbins instead of John Robbins.

Where did the Harold come from?

I've searched all the links and can't find any " Urgent " button. Can you just

tell us in the email

what is going on with John Robbins please.

Pat,

I'm not sure why you sent this link (drilling down through the website

leads to this link:

http://www.eatraworganicsunshine.com/john_robbins.html ).

Without further information or substantiation, it would be ill advised

to send money to " Patti Breitman " , who claims she will send it on Mr.

Robbins.

The reason I sent it, jfrm, is in the subject line: " FYI " which translates to

" For Your Information " meaning for the information of all members. (So easy to

miss those three little letters in a heading!) I sent it because there are

members of the vegetarian and vegan community who have a high regard for John

Robbins - and a high regard for VegSource on which site you will find the story.

They would want to hear about what has happened to him. That's all.

As for suspicions about those designated to forward mail to John, maybe this is

really not the place for them. One should take those concerns to VegSource. I

was simply passing on info, you know?

And now, everyone, it is late, I'm afraid, and I have to leave my computer. I

will not be able to be at it again until weekend. So I can do no more here now.

Further concerns about what I post on this group, however, may be sent directly

to me at drpatsant and I will answer them asap :) That saves Piers

and Marie from having to second guess me or speak for me in my absence.

Many thanks - and thanks too for writing in.

Best, Pat (in incredible haste)
