Guest guest
I'm so glad to hear that you are finding some help. If only everyone would become vegan the world would be a better place. In my findings people get very defensive when faced with truths. They don't want to admit what they are doing is wrong. I have been able to convice a family of three that the vegan diet is much healthier for ourselves and Mother Earth, and they in turn have changed a few other peoples lives. Good luck at your trial, may the vegan win! Good Luck, amanda --- " dilemma5 " <dilemma5 wrote: > Thanks to all who offered information and resources > to assist me. There is power in a factory, power in the land Power in the hands of a worker But it all amounts to nothing if together we don't stand There is power in a Union Now the lessons of the past were all learned with workers' blood The mistakes of the bosses we must pay for From the cities and the farmlands to trenches full of mud War has always been the bosses' way, sir
Guest guest
I made a great lasagna last week. With the recipe, we ate it two nights. I tried it in a stir fry and didn't care for it. Sue ---- Karen Ogle 6/11/2007 10:04:03 PM Thank You Thanks to all who responded to my post about tofu. I'm going to try it next week after I go shopping. My first attempt will be a stir fry then I will try something more complicated. I really appreciate all the help. Blessings, Karen

Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile " mforsberg3 " <mforsberg2 Tue, 09 Oct 2007 17:22:56 Thank You Thanks to everyone who sent in their favorite cookbook lists. I am new to this group but am on a number of the other kitchen toys and recipe groups. I am 66 and live in a small apartment in a Senior Building. Still do all my own cooking and baking. Doctor up at the VA just told me I have a sick liver (not from drinking) and to go Vegan cold turkey. So of course the first question is, " What's A Good Cookbook " ? Now that is answered already. From looking at the recipes I am overwhelmed with the number of items that need to go into each dish. This all sounds pretty complicated. But I am sure the answer is to start out with what looks easy and discover what the new ingredients are as time goes by. Actually, I have been working on Vegan for a year now any way and have tried a number of the store items. Have to get serious now. mikef orygun
Guest guest
Hi Mikef, Vegetarian and vegan cooking does seem to take more time and energy than slapping a piece of meat onto a hot pan, but it is worth is. Usually a big part of the ingredients list is spices, so they are easy. Katie mforsberg3 <mforsberg2 wrote: Thanks to everyone who sent in their favorite cookbook lists. Guest guest
You're welcome! Ever since my grandson read recipe in my cookbook he's been nagging me to make them. So you aren't the only one who's going to be arm deep in dough. Maybe it was a big mistake to give him my cookbook as part of his home ec classes. Oh well, at least he is clinically underweight and has his doctor's permission to eat, eat, eat. Yikes! Jeanne in GA
Guest guest
Hi Barbara What a nice post. It's wonderful you are with us. Donna Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile " forever_bright_sunshine " <keczh Mon, 28 Jan 2008 15:47:39 Thank You Thank you for all the great recipes that I have learnt to make. Each one was good and I even now have my son liking meatless dinners. To me that is a wonderful accomplishment to stear him from meat products. Thank you again for creating this . Guest guest
Hi Linda and welcome to the group Listen - if you have groups on you can enter them in on our Links page - look to the top to find a folder for members' groups and add yours, one by one, with a short description (follow the pattern, more of less) and then let us all know you have done that. You never know what might interest people here!!!! Best luck. I know what you mean about recipes - after a while it's pretty easy to 'taste' them without even entering the kitchen But sometimes it's nice to see what others have actually tried, which is why we ask that all recipes posted here actually are 'tried and true' - that is, tried by the member posting, unless for some reason it's an old family recipe or one you've tried at the home of a friend, in which case just say so! Looking forward to hearing from you about all these yummy recipes. Isn't vegetarian cooking a blast!?
