Guest guest
Well, Pat, my dog is 2 years old and I got him when he was 2 months old, he is a mixed with his grandfather being pitbull & granmother a chow/german shepard mix(mother's side, lol), and I have no idea what his dad is. His name is Zombie, after Rob Zombie, he is very sweet, but thinks he is smaller than he really is. We also have 2 orphaned puppies (Ginger and Misty), my husband & I actually found 8 pups and their mom by the side of a highway. Thankfully, most of the pups with mom have found good homes. And I have a cocketiel that I've had for 9 years. He hates everyone but me, lol. My daughter, I can already see, is fascinated with animals, and I hope that she will share my love for them. Also, thanks to everyone for your support, my husband has thoughtfully bought some protien " meats " to use in dinners, which taste really good. He had some veggie dogs with me last nite, so I am really happy. I will try to get a recipe on here soon, I have a really good idea for bell peppers and spinach! Lots of love to all. -Pixi

Your Zombie sounds like a real winner - and good for you for rescuing those puppies and their mother too! I agree that it is so important for children to grow up with a sense of the importance (perhaps equal importance?) of non-human animals in their lives. Compassion for all is the word, eh? Shall look forwarad to more from you. Best, Pat
