Guest guest Posted February 19, 2009 Report Share Posted February 19, 2009 There was salsify in the supermarket last week so I took the plunge and bought some. it was not the black variety this time. We tried it on Sunday. I was not being too adventurous so I just boiled it and tossed in melted butter. Both DH amd I thought it quite delicious with a flavour similar to asparagus stalks. We will definately try it again. Speaking of asparagus, we just bought 25 one year old plants to put in the veg patch.
