Salsify - Great

There was salsify in the supermarket last week so I took the plunge and

bought some. it was not the black variety this time.

 

We tried it on Sunday. I was not being too adventurous so I just boiled it

and tossed in melted butter.

 

Both DH amd I thought it quite delicious with a flavour similar to asparagus

stalks. We will definately try it again.

 

Speaking of asparagus, we just bought 25 one year old plants to put in the

veg patch. So, hopefullyu in another year or so we will be able to pick our

own.
