Guest guest Posted February 24, 2009 Report Share Posted February 24, 2009 Hello all, Thank you for accepting me as a new member. My husband and I are empty nesters. We live in Camarillo, California. I practice vegetarianism for compassionate reasons. We both recall our childhood in Nairobi. We love spicy foods, love good curries, and also fondly recall the simple staples of beans, corn (in Africa we call it Maize) and spinach. I can still smell the delightful aroma wafting in the air. I'm relatively new to the culinary arts, having always preferred to simply be on the eating team. But, Im gradually embracing the reality that enjoying good food starts somewhere in somebody's kitchen, so it may as well be mine. This evening we will be dining on the sumptuous " eggplant with garlic and ginger " recipe. Thanks for the post. We have lots of recipes, some very simple and some more complicated, but you should be able to find exactly what you need as you develop your expertise in your own kitchen.
