Guest guest
I love to cook but I do not love to chop cups of cilantro and/or parsley, or other herbs. There just has to be an easy way. But...I don't know it. I pick off the leaves and cut. Has anybody found a better way? I'm wondering if one of those nut chopper pusher-downer thingies would work, or something along those lines. Any suggestions so I have more time to enjoy stirring the soup on the stove?
Guest guest
The nut chopper thing didn't work for me. I watched Anne Burrell on the Food Network scrunch up her parsley or cilantro into a tight a ball as possible and hold it like that while she sliced it very thin. That seemed to work well for a very quick chop. - DJ ----------------------- Always remember: Today's mighty oak is simply yesterday's nut that held its ground... _____ On Behalf Of classiquepair Thursday, March 19, 2009 7:43 AM Simple way to chop Cilantro/Parsley? Guest guest
I just use a chopping block and a large curved chopping knife. It takes about 30 seconds and clean up is a snap. There is no need to remove the leaves from stem....just chop it all up. Seems to make sense. I'll be on the lookout for such a knife. I found a cheap device called a herb mincer. It has multiple blades and rolls. I'll try it later. And since I like to vary my methods, I'll definitely be on the lookout for that curve-blade knife. Thanks.
