Does anyone have a good, tried-and-true recipe for vegan faux f*sh (any kind)?

I've eaten it when out and sometimes enjoyed it. I want to make this for dinner

for both vegans and omnivores.

Thanks heaps.

Best, Pat

Those tofu 'fish' sticks do look good. I shall try those soon - easier than what

I had in mind, I think, and all the better for being so in the midst of summer

(well, it's coming up tomorrow!). Thanks so much.

Now this is funny: yesterday we lunched out an our fave and only completely

vegan place (just opened in March one block from us!) had a special of Red

'Halibut' which I tried. She used tempeh, goodness knows how seasoned but it was

mild and pleasant, with a light coating of some kind of red seaweed (I only know

dulse for red - and I don't think it was that, so any ideas?) and it had crumbs

on it too - light coating of cashew crumbs. It was served on a lovely mound (and

I know how strange this is of me to say this) of smashed potatoes that had been

tossed lightly in a pan to brown 'em a bit. Very good and I would have it again

if it was on offer, but still not quite what I was looking for. And oh yes it

was served with a greenish soy mayo-type dressing which was very good indeed.

But I will try yours - they look so good.

Meantime if you (or anyone else here?) tries another form of faux f*sh I would

appreciate hearing about it and, of course, getting a recipe to try. My search

continues! (My dream is to be able to use a faux f*sh steak in a Thai sauce . .

.. )

Thanks hugely!

Best, Pat
