Guest guest
Thanks, Maida, Those look very good. I am especially interested in the 'crab' cakes (for some reason unearthly and not-understood reason) - all I need to do is find the Old Bay Seasoning (sounds like something one might have given or been given on Father's Day!) Shall try them as soon as I am sure I have all ingredients! Still searching for the all-purpose faux fish steak recipes - one that can be used in a variety of previously non-veg recipes - so if anyone has one of those I'd really like to try it. Otherwise I'll just have to mess around with various seaweed flavours for some homemade seitan, trial and error. Or maybe squeezed, frozen, thawed and marinated (in exactly what?) firm tofu? Ideas??? Guest guest
Hi Pat, I just asked for help finding Old Bay Seasoning on another list. Someone said they found it in WalMart (but in the US). Anyway, I checked it out today and sure enough they had it in the spice/baking aisle. So, you might want to check it out. There are also recipes for Old Bay Seasoning on the web (just google it). Good luck in your faux f*sh search. I found faux shr*mp at veggieparadise.com (in Missisauga). DH said they were an excellent replica. I wouldn't know having never tasted it. Take a look at that website if you are interested (a lot of stuff is vegan). Cheers, Paula , " drpatsant " <drpatsant wrote: > > Thanks, Maida, > > Those look very good.
